Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy on July 16, 1969, carrying Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. Four days later, the crew landed on the Moon, marking a giant leap for humankind. The astronauts captured this significant trip, practically every moment of it, with a modified Hasselblad camera (see below).
